Remember, the Company subsidy may vary, as it depends on your conditions of employment. Definitions:"Child" - a member's natural child, or stepchild or legally adopted child or a child who has been placed by a competent authority in the custody of the member or his spouse or partner.
"Dependant" - - a member's spouse or partner who is not a member or a registered dependant of a member of a medical scheme;
- a member's child who is not a member or a registered dependant of a member of a medical scheme;
- the immediate family of a member for whom the member is liable for family care and support;
- in relation to a child, a child under the age of 21 who is not in receipt of a regular remuneration of more than R2 000 per month, or a child who, due to a mental or physical disability, is dependant upon the member;
- in relation to a student, a child over the age of 21 but under the age of 26 who is not in receipt of a regular remuneration of more than R2 000 per month or a child who is participating in the Employer's "Learner Official" program.
